This list is a treasure trove for both seasoned anime veterans and curious newcomers. So, ditch the browsing and dive into your next epic binge-watch – your perfect anime adventure awaits!

The Testament of Sister New Devil

The Testament of Sister New Devil

Good Stuff Eye candy: The show features attractive female characters, which can be appreciated by fans of fanservice.
Bad Stuff Predictable plot twists Cheesy dialogue: Some of the dialogue between the characters can come across as cheesy or clichéd, detracting from the overall quality of the show.
  • Badass Factor Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★★★ (5 stars out of 5)

Forget boring high school life! The Testament of Sister New Devil throws some serious spice into the mix. Our boy Basara’s world gets flipped upside down when his dad gets hitched, and his new stepsisters turn out to be the future Demon Lord (score?) and a total succubus (double score?). Plot twist: Basara’s actually descended from demon hunters! Awkward family dinners anyone?

This anime is a hilarious mess of action, fantasy, romance, and of course, all the ecchi goodness you crave. Basara has to protect his demon babes from demon hunters AND other demons, all while unlocking his own super cool powers and getting closer to his smokin’ hot stepsisters (weird, but hey!).

Here’s why it’s on the Badass MC list: Basara’s not just some lucky dude who gets demon waifus. He trains, he fights like a champ, and even uses his brain sometimes (shocking, I know) to keep Mio and Maria safe. Plus, the ecchi stuff isn’t just random fanservice – it actually ties into the story and character development. So, if you want an ecchi harem with a decent plot and a badass MC who can throw down, The Testament of Sister New Devil is the anime for you!

Haganai I dont have many friends

Haganai: I don’t have many friends

Good Stuff Romantic subplots: There are several romantic subplots throughout the series that add depth and complexity to the relationships between the characters.
Bad Stuff Repetitive themes: Certain themes, such as the struggle to fit in and make friends, can become repetitive and feel overused.

Next up on the harem train, we chug into “Haganai: I Don’t Have Many Friends.” This one features Kodaka Hasegawa, a transfer student who, despite his killer blond hair and fierce eyes, can’t seem to score any friends. Constantly mistaken for a delinquent, Kodaka’s about as lonely as a penguin with a broken flipper.

Enter Yozora Mikazuki, another social black hole (who talks to her imaginary friend, no less). Together, these two social outcasts hatch a genius plan (or maybe a desperate one?): The Neighbors Club! This glorious group is dedicated to, well, making friends and not being social disasters.

Of course, things never go quite according to plan. The club attracts a bunch of other social misfits, each with their own unique brand of weirdness. Think: the overly enthusiastic gaming girl, the super shy bookworm, and the short-tempered tsundere (don’t worry, we all love those!).

Now, Haganai might not have your typical “badass” MC. Kodaka can’t fight his way out of a paper bag. But he is genuine (in a hilariously awkward way) and actually cares about building friendships. That’s pretty darn badass in the world of social anxiety, wouldn’t you say?

So, if you’re looking for an anime with a healthy dose of ecchi comedy, a relatable struggle against social isolation, and a harem of quirky characters, then Haganai is your jam. Plus, watching these social rejects stumble their way to friendship is surprisingly heartwarming. Just don’t expect Kodaka to win any arm-wrestling contests.

SUPER HXEROS

SUPER HXEROS

Good Stuff Ecchi content – The show features plenty of fanservice and suggestive scenes, which will appeal to fans of the genre.
Bad Stuff Lack of emotional depth Overuse of cliches
  • Badass MC Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 stars out of 5)

Alright, alright, hold onto your hats because we’re about to blast off into pure, unadulterated ecchi territory with SUPER HXEROS! Buckle up if you like your heroes with a healthy dose of lady luck on their side (and by luck, we mean smokin’ hot teammates).

Imagine this: aliens called Kiseichuu are invading Earth, but they’re not after your land or your waifus (though, who knows what their taste is). These freaky space creeps feed on, get this, H-energy. Basically, the more…ahem…active humanity is, the weaker we become. Talk about a buzzkill, right?

Enter our unlikely hero, Retto Enjou, your average high school dude who gets thrust into a team of babes called HXEROS (because of course they are). There’s his childhood friend Kirara, who’s got some serious baggage after a Kiseichuu encounter (don’t ask), and three other gorgeous girls, each with their own unique brand of awesome.

Here’s the twist: these heroes fight fire with…well, you get the idea. They use H-energy to smack down the Kiseichuu menace in a hilarious, action-packed brawl. Retto, bless his heart, juggles being a badass leader, protecting his planet, and navigating the ever-so-slightly awkward harem situation. It’s a recipe for pure, unadulterated fun, especially if you love your anime with a generous helping of ecchi spice and a side of harem comedy.

Sekirei

Good Stuff Ecchi content – The show features plenty of fanservice and suggestive scenes, which will appeal to fans of the genre.
Bad Stuff Lack of emotional depth Overuse of cliches
  • Badass MC Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 stars out of 5)

Dude, have you seen Sekirei yet? It’s like the jackpot of harem anime for action lovers! Our boy Minato, yeah the college dropout kind of dude, gets his life changed forever by a smokin’ hot alien chick named Musubi. One smooch later, he’s got more power than a super saiyan on steroids.

Here’s the kicker: this kiss throws him into this crazy fight club called the Sekirei Plan. Basically, Minato and a bunch of other dudes gotta throw down with their own superpowered alien waifus by their side. Think epic battles with bad guys, sneaky villains who want to mess things up, and enough fan service to make your nose bleed (literally).

Minato’s basically living the dream, building his harem faster than you can say “waifu goals.” Let’s just say things get hot and heavy between him and the ladies (wink wink). Expect some serious steam, if you know what I mean.

Sekirei is pure fun, like an amusement park ride of action, beautiful alien girls with mind-blowing powers, and enough spice to keep things interesting. Grab some chips, hit play, and get ready for some epic anime nosebleeds. This harem adventure is a guaranteed good time!

Campione!

Good Stuff The artwork and animation in Campione! are top-notch, featuring detailed and provocative depictions of the characters. Romantic subplots – Several romantic relationships develop throughout the series, adding emotional depth to the story.
Bad Stuff One-dimensional villains – Some of the villains lack depth and development compared to the main cast. Cheesy dialogue – At times, the dialogue between characters feels cheesy and unnatural.
  • Badass MC Rating: ★★★★★ (5 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3.5 stars out of 5)

Campione! – This ain’t your average panty-shot extravaganza! Sure, it’s got a harem of ladies vying for the attention of our main man, Godou Kusanagi, but this dude’s got way more going for him than just charm. We’re talking God Slayer status here!

Godou accidentally offs a war god (badass, right?) and becomes a “Campione,” which basically means he gotta throw down with other deities if they get too rowdy. So, forget baseball practice – Godou’s new life involves epic battles, mythological throwdowns, and keeping the world safe from overpowered jerks.

The ladies? Yeah, they dig his confidence and strength, which is a nice perk. But unlike some harem wimps, Godou ain’t just a trophy. He’s a force to be reckoned with, earning respect and loyalty with his skills. It’s a refreshing change!

This show’s got the perfect mix of action, mythology, some fun character development (gotta love a harem with strong personalities!), and of course, a healthy dose of ecchi fanservice. If you’re looking for an anime that throws punches, cooks up an interesting plot, and features a dude who’s more than just a harem collector, then Campione! deserves a spot on your watchlist. Trust me, it’s a harem with a mythological bite!

Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku

Good Stuff Echi components – While not the focus of the show, the ecchi elements add a bit of spice to the mix. High production values – The animation and art style in Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody are top-notch, bringing the fantastical setting to life.
Bad Stuff Weak antagonists – Some of the villains in Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody lack depth and motivation, making them less compelling opponents for Ichirou. Overuse of tropes – Certain plot devices and character archetypes are used heavily, which can make the show feel familiar and unoriginal.
  • Badass Factor Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 and a half stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2 stars out of 5)

Alright, buckle up for another isekai adventure with a badass twist! This time we’re diving into “Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku,” which translates to… well, let’s just call it “Death March” for short.

Trust me, this one’s a wild ride. Our hero, Satou (not some teenager, but a cool 29-year-old salaryman reincarnated into his younger self!), gets isekai’d with a crazy cheat – a level 310 Meteor Shower spell right off the bat. Talk about an overpowered entrance!

With his newfound god-like powers and a fat stack of in-game cash, Satou starts building his harem squad. There’s Zena, the mage soldier who’s his first friend in this new world. Plus, a whole bunch of former slaves he rescues – Pochi, Tama, Liza, Arisa, and Lulu – each with their own backstory and fighting skills. Let’s just say things get a little spicy with this crew around (wink wink).

Death March isn’t afraid to lean into the ecchi and harem tropes, but it weaves them into the story naturally. It’s like isekai comfort food with a side of fanservice. Plus, the animation by Studio Silver Link and Connect is top-notch, bringing this fantasy world to life.

Now, some folks might say the plot gets a bit predictable, with Satou being a total isekai cliche. But hey, who can resist a badass overpowered hero with a whole lotta ladies by his side? And if you love that RPG grind, slice-of-life chill vibes, and exploring a cool new world, then Death March is definitely worth checking out!

THE HIDDEN DUNGEON ONLY I CAN ENTER

THE HIDDEN DUNGEON ONLY I CAN ENTER

Good Stuff Ecchi content – The show features plenty of fanservice and suggestive scenes, which will appeal to fans of the genre.
Bad Stuff Lack of emotional depth Overuse of cliches
  • Badass MC Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★★½ (4.5 stars out of 5)

Alrighty, we got another contender for the harem hall of fame! Buckle up for “The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter,” a wild ride of ecchi antics and a surprisingly chill dude named Noir Stalgia.

This ain’t your typical rags-to-riches story. Noir, our broke-ass noble dude, stumbles on a secret dungeon overflowing with loot and skills! Talk about a lucky break. But there’s a catch: a hot elf babe named Olivia is stuck there, cursed by some nasty Death Chains. Noir, being the good guy he is, vows to level up and bust her free.

Here’s where things get interesting. Noir has this bonkers skill that lets him create and buff skills, but it runs on “Life Points” (LP) – basically, the more fun stuff he does, the stronger he gets. Think massages, gourmet meals, and, ahem, some quality cuddle time. Let’s just say bath time with the future waifus gets pretty strategic!

This anime hits all the right notes for our “Badass MC Harem Heaven” list. Noir’s not some musclehead; his power comes from his genius skillset and a surprising willingness to, well, relax. The harem itself is top-notch, with a saintess who can break curses (Luna, you goddess!), and even Noir’s little sis, Alice, joining the party. It’s all about the laughs, fan service, and a healthy dose of fantasy adventure.

Sure, some folks might find the plot predictable, and the characters a bit shallow. But hey, who needs Shakespeare when you’ve got cute girls, epic skills, and a dungeon full of secrets? If you’re looking for a chill, funny anime with a bit of spice, “The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter” is your one-stop shop for escapism and pure entertainment. Just, uh, maybe keep the popcorn away from certain scenes…

Infinite Stratos

Good Stuff Relationship development – As Ichika interacts with each girl, their relationships evolve, offering emotional depth and investment in the characters. Repeat value – The show’s mix of action, comedy, and ecchi moments makes it a great choice for viewers looking for something entertaining and engaging.
Bad Stuff Obsessive and toxic behavior – Some female characters exhibit extreme jealousy and possessiveness towards Ichika, which can be unsettling and harmful to the story. Lack of diversity among male characters – The majority of male characters are stereotypical or underdeveloped, contributing to a somewhat monotonous portrayal of male characters .
  • Badass MC Rating: ★★★☆☆ (2.5 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★★☆ (3.5 stars out of 5)

This one’s equal parts “Whoa, cool mech battles!” and “Woah, gotta cool down after that shower scene!” In Infinite Stratos, our unlucky hero Ichika, at the ripe old age of 15, becomes the only dude who can pilot a giant, weaponized exoskeleton called an IS. The kicker? IS pilots are supposed to be girls, so Ichika gets shipped off to an all-girls academy where panty shots are as common as homework.

Sure, there are some epic mech fights, but let’s be real, the main attraction here is the overflowing fan service. If you can handle an endless stream of jiggle physics and enough bath scenes to fill a swimming pool, then Infinite Stratos is your harem anime soulmate. Plus, you get a badass (and slightly embarrassed) MC to cheer on! Just be prepared to explain to your mom why your anime looks like it got dipped in a swimsuit calendar.

Chivalry of a Failed Knight

Chivalry of a Failed Knight

Good Stuff Relationship development – As Ichika interacts with each girl, their relationships evolve, offering emotional depth and investment in the characters. Repeat value – The show’s mix of action, comedy, and ecchi moments makes it a great choice for viewers looking for something entertaining and engaging.
Bad Stuff Lack of diversity among male characters
  • Badass MC Rating: ★★★★★ (4.5 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★★★ (4.5 stars out of 5)

You know those “chosen hero” fantasies? Yeah, toss that out the window. Chivalry of a Failed Knight is about Ikki Kurogane, the complete opposite. Dude’s stuck at the bottom of magic school, despite wanting to be a knight like whoa. Enter Stella Vermillion, a princess who’s basically a magical powerhouse. Things get spicy when she challenges Ikki to a duel with a hilarious consequence: loser becomes the winner’s servant!

Ikki might be the “Failed Knight,” but this ain’t your typical harem. He’s got guts, trains like a beast, and ends up attracting a whole lotta ladies (Stella’s just the start!). Get ready for epic battles with crazy soul-powered creatures, hilarious misunderstandings, and enough fanservice to make your eyeballs sweat. If you want a chill anime with an underdog story, sweet action, and a harem that just kinda happens, Chivalry of a Failed Knight is your jam.

ARIFURETA

Good Stuff Badass Protagonist: ARIFURETA features a strong and determined male protagonist, Hajime Nagumo, who adds depth and intensity to the storyline. Ecchi Harem Genre: The inclusion of the Ecchi Harem genre, in this context, enhances the entertainment value for fans who enjoy this style, offering a mix of action and romantic elements.
Bad Stuff Clichés in the Genre: Despite its entertaining aspects, ARIFURETA may contain some familiar tropes and clichés associated with the Ecchi Harem genre, potentially making it less appealing to those seeking a more original storyline. Lack of diversity among male characters
  • Badass MC Rating: ★★★★★ (5 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★½☆ (3.5 stars out of 5)

ARIFURETA is an anime that not only has a badass male protagonist, but also features the ever-popular Ecchi Harem genre. We follow Hajime Nagumo and his friends as they are summoned to another world to save mankind. Eventually, Hajime begins to realize that he is different from all of his friends since only he has earned an inferior transmutation ability with no true offensive strength, which conflicts his strong desire for justice.

Yet, Nagumo is not easily discouraged on this unusual journey and explores the Great Orcus Labyrinth to obtain strength – only to be betrayed by one of his own classmates! Luck ultimately smiles on him when, despite his tragedy, our protagonist survives at the bottom of an abyss and chooses to battle courageously even though dangerous monsters await him ahead. We can fully immerse ourselves in this fascinating journey until Hajime and his buddies get home safe and sound, thanks to some help (or hindrance) from a frequently imprisoned vampire girl named Yue, as well as additional surprises along the way!

Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut

Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut

Good Stuff Hilarious Plotline: Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle delivers a comedic and entertaining plotline, focusing on the romantic interactions between the male protagonist, Lux, and his numerous female admirers.
Bad Stuff Primitive and Stereotypical Standards: The series might adhere to more primitive and stereotypical standards when it comes to male characterizations, potentially perpetuating clichés and tropes. Idealized Female Characters: Some female characters may be portrayed as too good to be real, potentially lacking depth or complexity in their personalities. This idealization could affect the relatability of the characters for some viewers.
  • Badass MC Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★½☆☆☆ (1.5 stars out of 5)

Next up, we got Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle! This one’s a laugh riot with a harem full of fine ladies and a dude so strong they call him the “undefeated weakest” (seriously, what’s up with that?).

Here’s the lowdown: Lux, an ex-prince who got kicked out in a revolt, accidentally stumbles into a girls’ shower and freaks out a princess. To settle things, she throws down a Drag-Ride duel – giant robots, people! Lux used to be the ultimate Drag Knight, but now he’s stuck with the “weakest” title. Talk about a comeback challenge!

The twist? Lux gets shipped off to an all-girls Drag-Knight academy crawling with even more royalty (and, ahem, eye candy). Cue the hilarious misunderstandings, over-the-top battles, and enough fanservice to make your nose bleed.

Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle might play the classic “ecchi harem” tropes a bit straight, but the story’s actually pretty solid, and the action scenes are epic as heck. Plus, the whole “bathtub brawl leads to boot camp” thing? Comedy gold! Just don’t expect anything too groundbreaking in the romance department.

IN ANOTHER WORLD WITH MY SMARTPHONE

IN ANOTHER WORLD WITH MY SMARTPHONE

Good Stuff Fantasy World Building: The anime successfully creates an enchanting world filled with magic, providing a visually appealing backdrop for the story. The inclusion of magical elements enhances the overall fantasy experience.
Bad Stuff Lack Depth

Imagine getting yeeted to another world by a clumsy God. That’s Touya’s life in “In Another World with My Smartphone.” As an apology for the divine goof-up, God lets him start over in a fantasy land with one sweet bonus – his phone (seriously, dude loves that thing).

This isekai romp throws Touya into a world of magic, monster girls (score!), and, most importantly, a whole lotta pretty ladies who all seem super into him. There’s the feisty Silhoueska twins, the graceful Yumina, the cryptic Leen, and the fiery Yae. They keep Touya on his toes, both romantically and as he explores the mysteries of this new world.

Sure, there’s some magic and stuff, but let’s be honest, you’re probably here for the ecchi bits. And this show does NOT disappoint! We’re talking playful flirting, some light fanservice, and a whole bunch of charming interactions between Touya and his growing harem.

If you want a chill isekai with a badass MC, a squad of cute girls, and enough ecchi fun to fill a dungeon, “In Another World with My Smartphone” is your new anime BFF. Grab some snacks, press play, and get ready for a wild ride!

Must Read: 6 Anime About Taboo Subject

image 21

Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism

Good Stuff Action-Packed Scenes: The anime delivers on action, featuring intense sword-fighting sequences and confrontations between characters. These scenes contribute to the excitement and engagement of the series.
Bad Stuff Unequal Treatment of Male Characters: The anime portrays a scenario where male characters face unfair treatment and oppression from their female counterparts. This may be off-putting to some viewers due to the perpetuation of gender stereotypes. Primitive Standards for Male Characters: The anime may adhere to more primitive and stereotypical standards when depicting male characters, potentially limiting their depth and character development compared to the more modern and equal standards applied to female characters.
  • Badass Factor Rating: ★★★½☆ (3.5 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★½☆☆☆ (1.5 stars out of 5)

This one’s equal parts hilarious and frustrating. Our boy Fudo gets kicked out for a brawl, then ends up at this fancy new school – Aichi Symbiosis Academy. Sounds chill, right? Wrong. Turns out the girls there run the place with an iron fist (and way too many katanas).

Fudo meets the “Supreme Five Swords,” a group of bossy babes led by Rin Onigawara. They basically tell him to bend the knee or bounce. But Fudo’s not one to back down, especially against a bunch of chicks with oversized weapons. So he throws down the gauntlet and challenges them all!

Now, I gotta be honest, the whole “girls rule, boys drool” thing gets old fast. But hey, if you dig the whole “ecchi harem with a badass MC trying to fix a messed up school” thing, then this might be your jam. Just don’t expect a morality lesson, these girls ain’t exactly choir material.

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord

image 20
  • Badass Factor Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 stars out of 5)
  • Ecchi Factor Rating: ★★★½☆ (3.5 stars out of 5)

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord is an ecchi harem anime that follows the story of Takuma Sakamoto, a shut-in gamer who is summoned to another world as the Demon Lord Diablo. In this new world, Takuma is surrounded by beautiful women who are all eager to serve him. However, Takuma is not interested in being a tyrant. He just wants to find a way to return to his own world.

Takuma is a badass male MC. He is strong, intelligent, and resourceful. He is also a skilled tactician and a powerful magic user. Takuma is not afraid to fight for what he believes in, and he is always willing to help those in need.

The ecchi factor in How Not to Summon a Demon Lord is relatively low. There are a few scenes with fan service, but they are not gratuitous. The anime is more focused on the action and adventure than on the ecchi.

Overall, How Not to Summon a Demon Lord is an enjoyable anime for fans of the ecchi harem genre. It has a strong male MC, plenty of action, and a few scenes with fan service. If you are looking for an anime that is both entertaining and sexy, then How Not to Summon a Demon Lord is worth checking out.

The Fruit of Grisaia

image 6

The story of Yuuji Kazami, a transfer student who has recently been enrolled to Mihama Academy, is told in the anime The Fruit of Grisaia. He rapidly realizes that this school is unlike any other he’s ever attended; it only has the principal and five other students, all of whom are female.

As he gets to know them better, he discovers the reality behind their tiny group: they’ve all had painful experiences that they’ve kept hidden from the rest of the world.

While The Fruit of Grisaia might be a good watch for some, I find it difficult to appreciate because of the behavior of some of the characters.

The Familiar of Zero

The Familiar of Zero

In the magical realm of wands, cloaks, and nobility, we meet Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière, a wizard with a larger-than-life ego. However, her summoning ritual takes an unexpected turn when it results in a catastrophic explosion. Emerging from the aftermath is Saito Hiraga, an ordinary boy who finds himself abruptly thrust into Louise’s world.

Saito quickly discovers that his role in this magical realm is far from glamorous. Instead of being treated as an equal, he becomes Louise’s unwilling servant, forced to perform menial tasks such as cleaning her clothes and eating humble meals on the ground. Despite this servitude, Saito’s resilience shines through as he navigates his unfamiliar circumstances.

As the story unfolds, we witness the gradual transformation of both characters. Saito learns to adapt to his new life, finding hidden strengths within himself. Meanwhile, Louise defies her initial reputation, proving that there is much more to her than meets the eye. Together, they embark on a journey that challenges societal norms and explores the complex dynamics of power, loyalty, and personal growth.

These Counts can increase or decrease based on specific actions related to their numbers. The plot kicks off with the young girl Hina, following her mother’s dying wish, embarking on a journey to find the Legendary Ace, Licht Bach. Licht, a mysterious figure with a negative Count, appears as a perverted but formidable swordsman whose true power and past are shrouded in mystery. As Hina and Licht cross paths, they unravel secrets about the Counts, the Abyss into which people with zero Counts are thrown, and the true nature of their world, Alcia.

Why “Plunderer” fits into the listing of “Best Ecchi Harem Anime with Badass Male MC” is multifaceted. Firstly, Licht Bach epitomizes the archetype of a badass male protagonist, with his formidable combat skills, strategic mind, and mysterious past, making him an attractive central figure around whom the narrative revolves. The harem aspect is subtly woven into the storyline through Licht’s interactions with various female characters who are drawn to him due to his strength, mystery, or initially perceived oddity. The ecchi elements are tastefully integrated, providing humor and light-hearted moments that balance the heavier themes of the plot. This combination of a strong male lead, a compelling narrative that explores deeper themes beneath its surface, and the dynamics of the characters within the ecchi harem genre makes “Plunderer” a standout series for viewers seeking content that is both engaging and entertaining, ensuring its rightful place on this list.
